Dear candidate, We are delighted inform you that UCD, Smurfit School of Business, Dublin, Ireland is taking part in the Irish Aid Fellowship Programme for 2009. This consists of up to 5 full-tuition scholarships for MBA to start in September 2009 (value €29,500 / US$ 38,000) and a stipend for living expenses and accommodation Eligibility: The Irish Aid MBA Fellowship Programme is open to Vietnamese citizens resident in Vietnam who are committed to returning to Vietnam after their MBA. Scholarship applicants must first apply and be accepted on the University College Dublin Michael Smurfit School of Business Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme. Applications can be made online at http://www.ucd.ie/smurfitschool All applicants must have a minimum GMAT score of 550. IELTS (7.0) or TOEFL (100 IbT) is also required. Applicants must first hold an offer of acceptance to the UCD Smurfit MBA before applying for the scholarship Applicants must detail why they wish to undertake an MBA at the UCD Smurfit School in Ireland, how they envisage contributing to the future development of Vietnam after graduation, and why they should be selected for this scholarship. Candidates will be assessed on their future leadership potential, their vision for economic development in Vietnam, their ability to gain from the international MBA experience as well as their financial need. Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who best demonstrate how they envisage contributing to the future development of Vietnam after graduation. How to apply: 1) First, candidates must apply to the UCD Smurfit MBA. Hanoi The closing date for scholarship applications to arrive at the Embassy is March 31st, 2009 (please note that the deadline for all other Irish Aid scholarship applications is December 31st, but the specific MBA scholarship programme has a later deadline for application of March 31st, 2009). Interviews for short-listed applicants will be held in April 2009 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Scholarship award winners will be announced in May, 2009.
